Bir toplumun maddi ve manevi degerlerinin tümü, o toplumun kültürünü olusturur. Bu degerler, örf, adet, gelenek ve göreneklerin tamamından meydana gelir. Toplumların benliklerini koruyabilmesi ve devamı için kültürel degerlere sahip çıkması gerekir. Kültürel degerlerin ortaya konulması için yapılan bu çalısmada, Yayladagı lçesi’nin sosyal ve kültürel yapısı, örf, adet ve inançları ile tarihi ve turistik yerleri üzerinde duruldu. Çalısmada genel olarak Yayladagı lçesi’nin tarihi, cografi, ekonomik, egitim-ögretim ve saglık konuları hakkında bilgi verildi. Daha sonra esas konu islenerek, ilçenin örf, adet ve inançları üzerinde duruldu. Dört bölümde sunulan çalısmanın birinci bölümünde, Yayladagı lçesi’nin sosyo-kültürel ve ekonomik yapısı kaynaklara dayanılarak ortaya konuldu. Ayrıca bu bölümde, ilçe ve köylerin egitim-ögretim ve saglık durumları hakkında bilgi verildi. kinci bölümde, Yayladagı lçesi’nde yasayan halkın, dogum, evlenme, askerlik ve ölümle ilgili örf, adet ve inançları üzerinde duruldu. Yine bu bölümde ilçede söylenen mani, agıt, atasözü ve bilmeceler ile ilçenin mutfak kültürüne yer verildi. Üçüncü bölümde, Yayladagı sair ve yazarları hakkında bilgi verildi. Dördüncü bölümde ise, ilçenin tarihi ve turistik yerleri ile ilçede yedi yıldır yapılan “aba güresleri” hakkında bilgi verildi. Son kısımda sonuç ve degerlendirme ile çalısmanın genel bir degerlendirmesi yapıldı. Gezi ve gözleme dayalı olarak yapılan bu çalısmanın temel amacı, Yayladagı lçesi’nde yasayan halkın sosyal ve kültürel yapısı ile örf, adet ve inançlarını ortaya koymaktır. The worthies of the material, spiritual, moral and immeterials of the society constitue the culture of the society. The worthies of the society consist of tradidion, custom, usage and observance. The worthies of culture should have been protected in order to keep and continuation of the personality of the society. In the study, Social and Cultural structure, custom, tradition, observance, beliefs and historical and touristic places of Yayladagı County were mentioned about the exhibition of cultural worthies. In the generality of the study, information was given about history, geography, economy, education and health of Yayladagı County. After the main subject, it is mentioned about tradition, custom and beliefs of the county. The study contains four sections. In the first section, Social Culture and economical structure of Yayladagı County were mentioned. In addition to these, the information about education and health in county and villages was given. In the second part, marriage, soldiery, birth and death related with custom, tradition, observance of the people who live in Yayladagı were mentioned. And also, elegy, proverb, riddle and kitchen culture about the county were talked. In the third section, It is given information about history, touristic places of Yayladagı and “aba wrestling” that performed for seven years. In the last part of the study, results and evaluation of the study were done. The main purpose of the study based on the trip and observation is to reveal that social and cultural structure, custom, tradition and belief of the people in Yayladagı County.
